At Moss Hall, our Geography lessons provide wonderful opportunities to explore and deepen our understanding of the world around us, both locally and globally. We do this by describing, analysing and comparing the cultures, people, places and geographical features across the globe. We use interactive technology to enable the children to interpret and record the world in new ways and to enhance our learning experience. Through the new curriculum, children also investigate key issues for the twenty-first century, such as caring for the environment and helping them to recognise that we are all interdependent global citizens with a responsibility for the future of our planet and to each other.
We are trying hard to provide opportunities where we can form our own investigative questions to then use our geographical skills to answer them, developing our independence.
We have a dedicated eco – council who have been working hard to keep our school an environmentally friendly place. They are currently thinking about ideas for developing our beautiful outdoor areas…watch this space!
